Responsibilities
Required strong command on Oracle database administration, collaboratively working with the customer and enthusiastic in learning new technical skills.
- Must have 8+ years of extensive oracle database management experience with strong technical background.
- Experience on all Oracle DB versions including 9i, 10g and 11g RAC Performance tuning on Solaris and Linux.
- Deep knowledge of Oracle Database best practices and internal.
- Good command on Oracle RMAN and other backup and recovery scenarios.
- Perfect knowledge and troubleshooting experience in the following areas RAC, ASM, Exadata, Performance tuning, Data Guard (Physical and Logical) - Including active data guard and DG broker, RMAN
- Experience in database migrations, upgrades, patching.
- Experience in Golden Gate and Exadata is preferred
- Experience in any Unix shell script, Perl script and Python
- Responsible for performance, capacity planning and HA solution.
- Develop complex Database administration automation and monitoring scripts
- Expertise in both instance level and SQL level tuning. Excellent experience in tuning complex queries, optimizing code & implementation of best coding practices.
- Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, training and production usage.
- Experienced with Oracle database replication technologies including streams, CDC and golden gate
- Highly experienced with Oracle objects including tables, indexes, partitions, views, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, packages, and triggers.
- Analytical experience of performance tuning - Bad SQLs,ASH,AWR,ADDM,Indexes,Execution plans,optimizer.
- Should have experience in migrating databases from 11g to 12c/18c/19c.
Skills/Experience
Good to have a multi database skill set other than oracle and basic application knowledge.
- Experience on all versions of Oracle 9i/10g/11g/12c/18c/19c.
- SQL,PL/SQL and Powershell Scripting.
- Basic Linux server administration.
- Should have a strong understanding of how oracle works in Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud.
- ITIL process awareness.
