Responsibilities
Required strong command on DB2 database administration, collaboratively working with the customer and enthusiastic in learning new technical skills.
- Must have minimum at least 6 years of experience with DB2 database administration.
- Required to have hands on experience on Installation, Configuration, Upgrade, and Migration.
- Database Security, Backup and Recovery.
- Working knowledge on designing High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) systems.
- Perform DB maintenance activities such as Backup, Restore, Re-Org and Runstats.
- Well versed in configuring and usage of Clustering, db2diag and notification logs, snapshot and event monitor.
- Added as advantage in DB2 development and understanding of indexes, query tuning, stored procs, views, partitioning
Skills/Experience
Good to have a multi database skill set and basic application knowledge.
- DB2 all versions(8/9/10.5/11.1).
- SQL and Shell Scripting.
- Basic Linux server administration.
- Should have a strong understanding of how DB2 works in Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud.
- ITIL process awareness.
