Responsibilities
Required strong command on MYSQL database administration, collaboratively working with the customer and enthusiastic in learning new technical skills.
- Must have minimum at least 6 years of experience with MYSQL database administration.
- Extensive experience with all versions of MySQL(5.5/5.6/5.7/8.0). Good to have experience with the latest versions.
- Installation, configuration, customization,backup maintenance and performance tuning of databases.
- Monitoring, Setup, administration and support MySQL databases servers for Production/QA/Development/Test.
- Well managing experience of all MySQLs underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM.
- Required extensive experience with MySQL security, performance tuning/Query optimization/index tuning.
- Experience with MySQL Replication setup and administration in configuring both Master-Slave and Master-Master replication.
- Experience in Upgrade and Migration of MySQL database to higher version.
- Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Support development team with database operations including the development of complex SQL, tuning of DML and creation of stored procedures.
- Working knowledge of operating systems internal (Shell scripting monitoring, debugging) in Linux environment is required.
Skills/Experience
Good to have a multi database skill set and basic application knowledge.
- MySQL all versions(5.5/5.6/5.7/8.0).
- Knowledge of Mysql client tools like Sqlyog,Monyog, Workbench etc.
- SQL and Shell Scripting.
- Basic Linux server administration.
- Should have a strong understanding of how MYSQL works in Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud.
- ITIL process awareness.
